Si cette expression semble apparaître de plus en plus souvent dans la langue française, en fait, les épisodes que l'on pourrait qualifier d' ''anormaux pour la saison'' ont toujours existé. Et ces phénomènes existeront toujours : les hivers doux succèderont aux étés maussades et frais ...

Un exemple très frappant ...
Le mois de décembre 1879 a battu tous les records avec des températures extrêmement froides. En moyenne, les températures nationales étaient situées plus de 11°C en dessous des normes ... Un an plus tard, en décembre 1880, on battait des records de douceur : un excédent de plus de 4°C a été relevé à l'échelle nationale ...

Bien que ce temps inhabituel pour la saison semble, à la vue de cet exemple et de bien d'autres, assez ''normal'' au final, résultant du mouvement de masses d'air plus ou moins aléatoire à la surface de la Terre, on peut se demander si le changement climatique n'amplifie pas ce type de phénomène ...
